Chase's 1st trip to Kentucky!!!

As you can see we had a great time this weekend with friends and family. We arrived at grandma and grandpa's house really late on Friday night. So there wasn't much visiting with Chase. Saturday for lunch we were off to meet my best friends Kim and Shaunda for lunch. They were instant buds just like us girls. Around 2pm family started showing up for the 3 hour window to visit with him. At 6pm we headed to our friends Kelly and Mark's Speis where Chase was the guest of honor. Thank you Kelly, Mark, Josh, Jeanne, Rachael, Jon, Stacey and Trey for putting this on for us. We had a great time. On Sunday we were at our friend Todd's golf scramble where Chase meet more friends for the first time. After that we visited with his other grandparents for a while then we headed back to St. Louis. It was sad to leave but what a great weekend. See you again soon Louisville!

Today was a busy day of shopping, packing and getting ready to head to Kentucky for the 1st time with Chase. Some of our closest friends back home are having us a Welcome home shower for Chase!!! We are so excited for everyone in Louisville to meet this guy!!!I'll post pics hopefully on Sunday.

We have completed our first week at home successfully, except mom doesn't have much time for blogging. The computer used to be attached to me all day - now the only thing on my hip is Chase. But it is great!!! He was definitely worth the wait. Today we are going to Grants Farm with The Crawfords so we will post pics later today of this adventure.

Welcome Home Chase!!!

Embassy Day!!!

We were up bright and early this morning for our embassy appointment. We arrived around 6:30am and waited in a long line to enter the US Embassy. After we entered we sat and waited for our name to be called for the 1st interview. Here they went over some paperwork, then we waited again for the final call. You can imagine a small room full of crying babies, Guatemalans trying to get visas to come to the states. Chase was very restless and kept Erich very busy roaming around. Finally around noon Reis was called to window 8. We had to swear that all the documents were truthful and a few other questions were asked. Then the lady said congratulations he is your son. What a moment - Erich and I high fived and it was done. Wednesday we go at 3:30pm and pick up his visa. Then Thursday bright and early we come home. We can not wait for all you guys to meet this little guy. He is the one in the group that everyone says whos kid is that. Yep thats the Reis´.... He is a wild man.
